A new and exciting proprietary grafting product,
OsteoMatrix Synthetic Bone Graft Composite is the
optimal matrix for bone regeneration in orthopedic
surgical procedures.
OsteoMatrix Synthetic Bone Graft Composite is a biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP) material comprised of 80% beta-tricalcium phosphate (ß-TCP) and 20% hydroxyapatite (HA). Its structure allows cell attachment, proliferation, and cell expression followed by cell colonization.
OsteoMatrix Synthetic Bone Graft Composite mimics the structure of natural cancellous and cortical bone, and degrades in stages that promote rapid bone remodeling and long-term support. Its structure and interconnected macropores promote cell colonization, while the 3-dimensional microporous architecture creates a favorable environment for BMPs and osteogenic cells to proliferate.
Ultimately, the slower resorbing porous HA component provides a longterm scaffold and promotes endogenous BMP attachment that converts stem cells into osteogenic cells, as the faster degrading ß-TCP undergoes dissolution and reprecipitation.
