Russell Cook – Chief Executive Officer

Russell Cook is the co-founder and CEO of BioStructures which develops, manufactures and markets a broad range of bioresorbable orthopedic implants. Prior to BioStructures, Mr. Cook co-founded Radius Medical, a company that also developed biological products for orthopedic applications, and served as its CEO until its acquisition by NuVasive in January 2007. In 2002, he founded Summit Surgical and later BioLogic, which marketed specialty allografts and synthetic bone graft implants designed for orthopedic applications. Prior to 2002, Mr. Cook held both domestic and international senior executive sales management positions and was instrumental in the merger and acquisition of 2 companies to GE Capital in 1995 and 2001. Mr. Cook holds a B.S. in Marketing from California State University and completed his post graduate training at Columbia Business School in New York.

Duraid Antone – Chief Operating Officer

Duraid Antone is the co-founder and COO of BioStructures which develops, manufactures and markets a broad range of bioresorbable orthopedic implants. Mr. Antone also served as Chief Operating Officer and co-founder for Radius Medical, which was eventually acquired by Nuvasive Corporation in January 2007. Mr. Antone’s successful career in the Medical Device industry includes 8 years of experience in senior sales management at Osteotech, Cortek, and Interpore Cross International. Mr. Antone served on active duty for eight years in the U.S. Army in the field of Military Intelligence. He holds a B.A. in Management from National-Louis University and an M.B.A from University of Phoenix.
